Calling You Higher

Heyyyyyy Y'all! What are y'all doing? Welp, it's 3:44am and I'm up, so I decided to check in. Soooo, let me give y'all the back story tea. Sooooo, for a few years I've been woken up at 3am or 3 something for a bathroom break. Prior to today and ONE other previous day, I actually did what I was suppose to do, which is pray and/or attempt to seek God. It took me a good minute to catch on to this little pattern. I'd literally wake up, use the bathroom, and go back to sleep 💤. Now, I haven't been waking up at 3am for a long minute, but today is the day. I got up out of a dream to use the restroom. I checked my phone and it was 3 something, so I immediately opened the Bible app. The scripture for the day was Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." This scripture spoke to me a little, so I created an image that I'll share on my social media accounts. After reading this, I thought about the study plan on "Worthy" I completed, so I looked for another study plan. Since I completed the plan on "Worthy" the Bible app suggested a few other plans. I selected "Learn How To Live"! Now, let me tell y'all something. The scriptures spoke SPOKE to me and to be honest I slightly feel these scriptures TRIED ME and I will tell y'all why lbs.

1 Peter 1:14-15 "As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to former lusts in your ignorance; But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in ALL manner of conversation."

This the one right here cause if y'all know me y'all know my mouth/conversation is beyond X rated majority of the time and probably is considered FILTHY‼️ Reading this I instantly thought of my everyday conversation with men, friends, and my siblings 😩😩🤣🤣 Filthyyyy as can be lbs, DELIVERRRRR ME JESUS‼️‼️🤣 Seriously, at this point God probably like, Kira its time to chill out for real for real. 2 Corinthians 7:1

"Having therefore these promised, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from ALL filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." Whewwwww chile, it's the filth part for me. I am not in denial, I am literally filthy asf‼️ Now this last scripture Matthew 5:48-

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

AHT AHT, wait a minute, I thought nobody was perfect lol? Soooo, I'm guessing this scripture is saying strive to be perfect like the Father. This was the first devotion day out of a 3 day plan and ummmmm yeah, God is hilarious. Like outta all scriptures why come directly to me like that🤣🤣 #MyMans After completing day 1, I asked God, "Where are you calling me to?" Do yall know what the man said?? Guess!! My Big Homie kept it cute, clear, and simple. He said, "I'm Calling You Higher!" Now, because I'm who I am, I'm knowing He done said #Period and dropped the 🎤 🤣🤣🤣! #BlessGod XOXO Shakira Shakira
